The Royal International Air Tattoo At A Glance
​
Immerse yourself in the incredible experience of the Royal International Air Tattoo, a remarkable event that unfolds over an exhilarating six-day period, from Wednesday through to Monday. The excitement begins with arrivals and rehearsals on Wednesday and Thursday, where you can witness stunning displays of international air arms preparing for the show.
As Friday arrives, the day is divided between more arrivals and rehearsals, culminating in a spectacular four-hour flying display that will leave you in awe. Throughout the showground, with the exception of the Green Zone, visitors are free to wander and explore the impressive static line-up of aircraft.
The weekend, Saturday and Sunday, is the highlight of the event, featuring full show days packed with over eight hours of highly skilled flying performances each day. Finally, the sad day is upon us. Monday brings the departures, where the skilled Air Traffic controllers face the monumental task of ensuring that all aircraft take off smoothly in a single day, preparing to return the airfield to its regular operations by Monday evening. With such an array of activities spread across six the days, there are endless opportunities for capturing unforgettable photographs.
