




What is RIAT?
The Royal International Air Tattoo has been a gathering of aircraft, enthusiasts, photographers, volunteers and many more for over an impressive 50 years. Its now a hub for people to enjoy the passion for aircraft and air arms to showcase there assets for us to enjoy.
RIAT for most, is a community for like minded people, who share the passion for all things about aviation. For some its a yearly gathering with friends and family to enjoy this wonderful event.

Your Ultimate Guide to RIAT Show Days: Friday, Saturday & Sunday
Whether you’re a die-hard aviation enthusiast or just looking for a spectacular day out with the family, RIAT at RAF Fairford is an unmissable event. Each day brings something slightly different, with Friday acting as a warm-up to the epic 7-hour flying displays on Saturday and Sunday. Let’s break it down:
FRIDAY – Preview Day (Shorter Show + Arrivals)
Flying Display Time: 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Approx. 4 hours)
Showground Open: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Highlights:

Officially considered the Preview Day, Friday offers a more relaxed atmosphere and shorter queues.

You’ll still enjoy 4 hours of flying displays, often including full rehearsals of some display teams.

Aircraft continue to arrive before and after the flying programme, so cameras at the ready all day.

Great for photographers and enthusiasts who want less crowding and more access to the aircraft and pilots.
SATURDAY & SUNDAY – Full Show Days
Flying Display Time: 10:00 AM – 5:30 PM (Approx. 7 hours)
Showground Open: 7:30 AM – 7:30 PM

These are the main event days and feature the full might of RIAT’s flying programme.
