Here at " The Big Guide to RIAT", we are always looking at improving this website. It has been live since April last year, so being in its first year of being live. We have added lots to this site, to hopefully help you out and to make your RIAT trip that more successful and enjoyable.
As the creator of this website, I only have a limited knowledge of the event, however with some research and your experience's, I can publish lots more to help others.
What's missing and what else can I add?
If anyone has any ideas and advice on there experience's, please comment on the blog below or email me at thebigguidetoriat@gmail.com. to be part of this growing community.
What I'm looking to add? (Currently in the works)
Overseas Visitors
RIAT welcomes thousands of international visitors every year, and I’m building a dedicated section to help them plan their journey.
If you’ve travelled from abroad to attend, I’d love to include your experience, what went smoothly, what challenges you faced, and how you travelled to and from the airport. Your advice could make a real difference for others making the trip from overseas
Coming to RIAT with babies/young children.
I am looking for information and advice for anyone who attends with young children, to share there stories on what made it work and what didn't. This is for in the show and camping etc. What equipment was a must and what you really missed. As last year was my first time that my nephew who was 18 months old attended and was watching my sister and her partner looking after him. This got me thinking that, this information was missing on this guide. if anyone could send over there tips and stories, how they manage bringing young children that would be great. please email thebigguidetoriat@gmail.com.
Car hire
Another new feature in progress is a Car Hire page, similar to the existing Hotel Booking section, with direct links to trusted car rental websites.
This will make it easier for anyone flying in or travelling long distances to find transport options for getting to and from RIAT.
