Car Parking Charges (New for 2026)

Important Update: Car Parking at RIAT Will No Longer Be Free from 2026

Just a quick reminder for everyone keeping an eye on RIAT news, if you haven’t seen the latest update from airtattoo.com a few months ago, there’s a big change coming for drivers attending the show.

From RIAT 2026 onwards, parking your car in the official Air Tattoo car parks will no longer be free. Instead, there will be a £15 charge per car.

This change is being introduced to support the new Park & Ride scheme, which is designed to improve traffic flow, reduce congestion around RAF Fairford, and make the arrival experience smoother for everyone. The aim is to keep the event running efficiently while balancing environmental and logistical challenges that come with such a large-scale show.

While free parking has been part of the RIAT experience for years, this new system reflects ongoing improvements to how visitors access the site. If you’re planning ahead for RIAT 2026, remember to factor this into your budget,

and check how the parking passes will work when tickets go on sale.

Quick Facts

  • Change starts: RIAT 2026

  • Cost: £15 per car

  • Purpose: Supports the new Park & Ride scheme and improved traffic management

I understand that the Disabled Parking Area is to be situated by the Red Entrance. When will a Site Plan be available for reference please?
